Police: 2-year-old boy fatally stabbed by 6-year-old brother in Joliet
Joliet, Ill.
A 2-year-old boy was fatally stabbed by his 6-year-old brother in Joliet, Illinois, on Tuesday, police said.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of North Raynor Avenue.
Police said the boys were playing in a bedroom when the 6-year-old got a knife and stabbed his brother in the chest.
The 2-year-old was taken to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The 6-year-old was taken into custody and is being held at the Joliet Police Department.
Police said the incident is still under investigation.
